The road is affordable but slower than flying. If you have only a short time in Kenya, flying safaris make more sense as you get to Masai Mara faster.

Nairobi to Maasai Mara by Road

Going to the park by the road takes approximately 5-6 hours in a custom-made safari land cruiser. The land cruiser has a pop-up roof, which will be closed for the journey but opened for a game drive.

One of the most significant advantages of going by road is that you can enjoy some of Kenya’s beautiful sights on your way. We stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, where you can witness this tremendous geographical phenomenon as you take memorable photos.

On your way, you will also see Mt. Longonot and Mt. Suswa and numerous farms. On arrival at Narok, the principal town near the park, you will be able to purchase any last-minute items you might require.
