Key Roles and Responsibilities 

• Handling travel inquiries through email and phone 
• Advising and assisting clients to choose the right package
• Planning travel itinerary for clients and costing 
• Handling reservations for customers, including hotels, flights, transportation, and activities
• Sending payment confirmation after reservations
• Sending reservation vouchers to clients 
• Handling any issue that might arise during the reservation and booking process
• Offering support to clients who wish to cancel or amend their reservations
• Following up with the client during the safari 
• Handling any other duty as may be assigned by the senior travel consultant 

Academic Qualification and Experience 

• Degree in a Tourism-related or Business-related field 

Core Competencies

•  Willing to learn and acquire the necessary experience
• Ability to handle high volume inquiries 
• Sales driven 
• Good command of spoken and written English 
• Good understanding of the Kenya’s attraction sites

We Are Hiring – Senior Tour and Travel Consultant Job

We are looking for a qualified Senior Tour and Travel Consultant to join our team in Ruiru. It is a full-time position.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop tour packages, safaris, excursions, and other related packages to meet the clients’ needs
• Develop innovative tour packages to meet the market dynamics and demand
• Organize and maintain clients contact and keep them up to date 
• Respond to inquiries in a timely manner 
• Develop itineraries for the clients 
• Make follow-up on the quotations 
• Make any change requested by the clients
• Keep clients updated on the changes  
• Reserve and book hotels for the clients 
• Inform the hotels of any special need the clients will require during their stay
• Supervise and guide other tour and travel consultants

Qualifications and Experience 

• Tourism Management Degree or Business related degree
• MUST have at least 6 years of experience in the tour and travel industry (being a tour & travel consultant is an added advantage)
• Excellent organization and planning skills 
• Self-driven, confident, and motivated
• A team player with good communication and interpersonal skills 
• Excellent prospecting and networking skills 
• Good command of written and spoken English
