One of the camp’s expert Maasai guides, who knows the land and its creatures intimately, will be ready for you after breakfast. The camp itself is wonderful, and it’s hard to imagine finding a nicer place for a trip like this. But people make all the difference, and everyone at Rekero made our experience unlike any other trip we’ve taken. Richard and Peter (the camp managers) were gracious hosts. They were so friendly it felt like visiting old friends. They ran everything so well we barely needed to ask for anything. It was like they knew us well enough to anticipate what we might want.
But they happily accommodated any request we thought of. Conor from Chicago, Illinois Rekero Camp is in the best location in the Maasai Mara…right on the river. Watching animals come to drink or cross is amazing. Rooms are large and cozy, with spacious tents providing a comfortable stay. Bonfires in the evening are magical, especially near the mess tent.
